Fragonard began in 1926 in Grasse, a small famous town in France known as the perfume capital of the world. Eugene Fuchs a lover of fine art and perfume opened a perfumery he named Fragonard in tribute to the famous 17th Century Grasse Painter, Jean-Honore Fragonard.
